Please consider coming to our “Send Jon to Beijing” Fundraiser Event at the Manorplex on Saturday, February 4th, 2012 from 1 pm to 6 pm.
Jon’s work will be appearing in an exhibition at the Today Art Museum in Beijing, China this March. He is trying to raise about $1500 in funds to get there to install the show and then be present at the opening night.
To that end, the Manorplex is hosting a gala event that chronicles the life and travels (so far) of our very own Jonathan Barcan in five courses of food and drinks. We are asking that our guests contribute $50 for an afternoon of eating, drinking, and revelry. A group of hosts will be donating their time and talent to making this event stellar and scrumptious, and quite possibly, besotted.
If you are interesting in attending, please Paypal $50 per person to bhasselbach@gmail.com choosing “Sending Money to Family and Friends/ Personal Payment/ Gift” option with “Donation for Jon’s Event” in the comments box and please try to use your bank account rather than your credit card if at all possible. The first twenty-five people to send funds will be able to attend this event and will also receive one free ticket to the raffle for original works of art created by Jon. If you would like to purchase additional raffle tickets to increase your chances of winning Jon’s artwork, please add $15 per additional raffle ticket and include a note with your payment.
If you cannot attend the event, but would still like to contribute, please consider buying a raffle ticket for $15 each. These tickets will be put into a drawing for the art being raffled off during the event (but winning the raffle is not limited to the people attending).
